WelcomeWelcome to the King Edward VI School. The school hopes you will find this website both helpful and informative. We also hope that you will take the opportunity to visit us. We are a Community School and our doors are always open and we hope that parents, as well as children, will see it as a place for learning and personal development. We are a joint Specialist Arts & Technology College which means we can provide enormous numbers of additional opportunities to enrich our students lives. In 2003, we were designated as one of the first Leading Edge Schools in the country. We intend to live up to our reputation. Indeed, we aim to ensure that each child achieves his or her potential. Our dedicated staff have a track record of achieving excellent results for our young people, whatever their ability. Our 2006 results at KS3, A-level, GNVQ and GCSE were all excellent. We are in the top of various benchmarking groups and our aim each year is to maintain this position. We do not leave good results to chance. We plan for success. We can also offer a huge range of extra curricular activities from International Exchanges to Master Classes and Dance Groups. We really do have something for everyone. Our school is a friendly, hardworking place, always busy and full of life. We hope you will come and see us often.
