At The King Edward VI School we recognise that a well-trained and well-motivated staff is our greatest resource. At a time when education and society are changing rapidly, it is essential that our Staff Development is purposeful and focused in assisting the school to achieve its overall aim of raising student achievement.
To that end our objectives are as follows:
To ensure that Staff Development activities are directed towards the school’s aim of raising achievement for all students
To provide professional career development opportunities and learning opportunities for all staff
To ensure that staff new to the school are provided with an effective induction programme
To ensure that Newly Qualified Teachers are provided with an effective induction programme as they enter the teaching profession
