Young People's Poetry Competition 2010
A top prize of £500 is up for grabs in this year's John Betjamen Young People's Poetry Competition, open to students between 11 and 14 years old. Entrants may submit one poem about their local surroundings, with the competition aiming to encourage an understanding and an appreciation of the importance of 'place'.
The closing date for entries is Thursday 22nd July and prizes will be awarded at a ceremony at St Pancras Station in London in October.
For more information please visit Ms Morris in English (Room D24) or email klm@kevi.info.
We welcome any Year 8 students who may be studying at KEVI in September to enter too.
A flyer for this competition has been attached at the bottom of this page.
"Over to You" Journalist Competition

Due to the fantastic success of the trial entries for the ITV journalist competition 'Over to You', we are intending to roll out next year's competition to the whole of year 10 and 11. This should make for some great entries as we are only able to submit two proposals into the competition, raising the stakes considerably!
