Merck, Sharpe and Dohme Chemistry Competition

Congratulations to Matthew MacDonald and Ella Ward-Baker for their great success in this recent competition against other Northumberland Schools. Matthew came joint first with a pupil from Bedlington and also received a special prize for his presentation style. Ella came second with her presentation on Bio-chemistry. Both Matthew and Ella received cash awards from M.S.D. Well Done, we are all so proud!

Year 9 Chemistry Club

This is a chance for students to do some fun experiments, expand their knowledge of Chemistry and make new friends!

Year 11 and Year 12 Enterprise Club

This is an opportunity for students to develop their understanding of chemical processes to support their work through the GCSE and AS courses. Students will research a chemical process, scale it down to lab size, produce a product, analyse it and hopefully, if successful, have a product suitable for the market place!
