KS4 Business
Business is introduced to students at key stage 4, where there is the opportunity to study GCSE Business Studies or BTEC First Certificate in Business. Within key stage 4 the students study Business structure, marketing, enterprise, production, HR and finance. This provides the students with learning experiences that will give them the tools needed to make the best choices for their future, as well as providing them with access to the key stage 5 curriculum of their choice.
Through our links with Northumberland Council and Northumberland Adult Learning Service we are also able to offer a Young Apprenticeship in Business Administration. This 2-year course is for students who prefer to learn actively in the work place. They will attend school 4 days per week, with the remaining day being spent on work placement. Students who participate in this scheme have been very successful and we are proud of our 100% success rate for this.
