Years 9 – 11 Uniform

Girls Uniform

Trousers – Black Authorised style only (please see Emblematic website)

  • Asda: George, tapered trouser sizes
  • Marks & Spencer: zip pocket slim-leg trouser
  • New Look: slim leg range

Skirt – Black Authorised style only (please see Emblematic website)

  • Asda: Girls school pleated skirt
  • Marks & Spencer: pleated skirt

Tights – Plain tights black or neutral shade.  No patterns.

Dark Socks only

School polo shirt with school logo.

School jumper – V necked or sweatshirt with school logo which must be worn at all times.

No non-uniform jumpers/sweatshirts or cardigans are not permitted

Girls Uniform TrousersBelt – Black or grey only. Belts only to be worn with skirts and trousers where there are belt loops.

Shoes/boots – Plain black polishable, low heeled and suitable for school. No trainers, mules, sandals, stilettos, flip flops, thin heeled shoes or pumps.

Boots only to be worn under trousers.

Jewellery – Watch, one earring per lobe – small and plain sleeper or stud. No rings, bracelets or necklaces. No facial jewellery.

Hair Hairstyles must be an appropriate style and a natural colour only. Hairbands and hair bobbles black or grey. No other accessories to be worn in the hair.

 

No outdoor wear, such Boys Uniformas coats, hats, scarves must be worn in the building. No baseball caps or denim to be worn on the school site.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE

If a student arrives to school in the incorrect uniform, they must rectify this before they enter the tutor room.  Where the uniform cannot be corrected immediately (i.e. trainers, skirt etc.) students are to be sent to Year Office.  If an explanatory note is provided students will be allowed one day’s grace.  After this time, or where there is no parental explanation, students will have to borrow uniform or be placed into the Bridging room until rectified.

 A doctor’s note must be provided where, for medical reasons, students cannot wear school shoes.

Year 12 and Year 13 Dress Code

We require students to come to school in dress appropriate to our school’s working environment.

Male:

  • Plain black, white or grey Tops
  • Plain black, white or grey jumper
  • Black or grey trousers
  • Plain black footwear

Female:

  • Plain black, white or grey Tops
  • Plain black, white or grey jumper
  • Black or grey trousers or standard length skirt. (Standard length skirt is defined as no more than two inches (5cm) above the knee)
  • Plain black footwear

All Post 16 Students:

  • Tops must have no patterns / pictures / stripes
  • Trousers must be worn to the waist.  Blue/faded denim is not allowed
  • No low cut tops or bare midriffs/ no strap tops
  • No visible body piercings except pierced ears. No extreme piercings will be allowed (Scaffold piercings, expanders, daith, orbital etc).  Please note that we consider a retainer to be a piercing
  • No visible tattoos
  • No outdoor wear to be worn around school or in classrooms, including hats and scarves

Students not in appropriate dress will be asked to return home to change.
